For our anniversary this year Jordan actually thought it would be fun to go to Red Lobster and then to one of those themed rooms at The Black Swan Inn in Pocatello. We've had a gift card for Red Lobster for about 3 years but every time we were in the Pocatello area we just had too much going on to make it to Red Lobster so this time we planned in advance.
I was SO excited for both Red Lobster and The Black Swan Inn!!! Neither of us had ever been to The Black Swan Inn and I hadn't ever been to Red Lobster so yay for this anniversary. Our anniversary was on a Wednesday so the next day at work couldn't get over fast enough. So Thursday after we both got off work Jordan met me at his parent's house so we headed to Pocatello from there. We got kind of a late start so we didn't get to Red Lobster until like 8:00 pm so luckily they weren't busy and we got right in because they don't take reservations.
flowers Jordan had sent to me at work Wednesday which came at the perfect time because my work day on my actual anniversary kinda sucked big time...thanks for for making my day better honey!
So Red Lobster.....amazing! I honestly hadn't ever really had legit seafood besides popcorn shrimp so this was a rather new experience for me. But boy was it a good one! And might I add, we were super glad to have a gift card because they were some serious $$$!
After Red Lobster we headed to our themed room....the Egyptian room!!! Hello, Cleopatra right?! I liked the Mayian and Egyptian room but the Mayian was taken so I'm super glad we got my second choice! I think we chose a good one too because it was so awesome! To see better pictures of the room click here, but here are some I took...
ignore all my stuff thrown around the floor
see the TV above the mirror?

the HUGE bathtub...awesome!
cute little kitchen area
stairway leading up to the bedroom
this was our view from watching TV in bed...the bed was on the second floor with the TV across the room on the other side...it seriously felt like we were in a movie theater or somethin...loved it!
we even had a massage table connected to the bedroom...can we say heaven?
If you're ever looking for a quick getaway, a themed room is perfect! When you're booking a room they give you the option of ordering sparkling cidar, bath salts, a movie treat package, etc so of course I jumped on the sparkling cidar and movie treat package! The next morning we ordered breakfast from a nice selection and ate breakfast in bed while watching the Olympics! So nice! A few hours later we packed up and headed back to Rexburg, but not before stopping at Sportsman's Warehouse for a little anniversary shopping for Jordan : )
Shortly after we got back to Rexburg we met up with Kendra, her friend Brittney, Dane, and Corey and all headed to the Darius Rucker concert at Melaleuca field that was called "Give Meth the Boot" which Mountain View Hospital sponsored. And thanks to one of the physician's at Teton Oncology I was able to get us all free tickets!
won me a 105.5 Hawk t-shirt before the concert
waiting for the concert to start
during the concert...of course he didn't want to take another picture...can ya tell?
The concert was actually really good. Jordan and I can attest that Darius Rucker performs really good live!
After the concert myself, Jordan, Kendra, and Brittney all went to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt to celebrate more. Jordan and I for our anniversary and Brittney for her birthday the day before. I absolutely loved our anniversary! Even as quick as it went by and as simple as it may seem, it was wonderful. I truly treasure being able to spend quality time with my amazing hubby. Each moment I really feel and understand even greater how much I love him and every reason why I do. Since losing my little brother Brock he's been there for me during a time that I never thought I'd have to go through. Being a shoulder for me to lean and cry on and someone to just hold me. I feel incredibly blessed! I love this man of mine! Looking forward to many years together!
