Normally all the Knapp's gather together for the family reunion up at Loosli's Cabin in Ashton, ID. Well for the last few years there hasn't been enough water because of the dam and everything so Jordan's dad and all his siblings decided they'd rotate with each other on who would host the family reunion each year. So, this year was Jordan's parent's turn.
It began on Friday the 10th and people could basically just show up whenever then we'd have some super tasty hamburgers and all different kinds of salads! Jordan and Kody set up our big canvas tent for people to sleep in that wanted to camp out and then some cousins that were staying the night brought their tents and set then out in the "woods" with the other tent for the night.
It's become a Knapp Family tradition to go golf balling do about midnight 23 of us piled into 3 vehicles and headed out to go do that. Now hopefully you know what I'm talking about with this golf balling business but let's just day we ended up with almost 2,700 golf balls!!! Wow right?! (we counted them the next day). I think we all got back to Craig and Kelly's at 1:30 am, attempted to watch a movie together, most of us lasted about half an hour, then went to bed.
The next morning we all woke up and had an amazing breakfast made by Kelly, Tyler, and Ryan (sorry if I may not have remembered everyone that helped). Then just started doing different things. First thing on the list though...placing our bets then counting all those golf balls!
After breakfast half of us started the long process of counting all the golfballs. Between probably 8 of us we were able to count them pretty fast actually, separating into piles of 100, but came to the grand total of 2,686 golfballs!!! Jordan and I lost by almost 800! Now, let's say each ball cost maybe $2 each? Think about how much money that is! There's a few golfers in the family so they sorted through them all and picked out some of the better golfballs. The rest we just divided equally to whoever wanted some. Jordan's plan is to have someone chip them up so he can try to use them as target practice. Ha...I thought that was kinda funny. A little redneck, but funny!
After the counting was done everyone changed into their swimming suits to go swim a bit in the pond and play some water volleyball...

Everyone was in the water for the majority of the day either playing water volleyball, playing king of the mountain on either the island or the tube, or jumping off the backhoe Dustin set up to be a diving board...
Jessica was a little freaked out about jumping off but with some encouragement from Dustin she finally jumped! Afterwards she even said she was a little scared but even went and jumped again!
Some of the cousins weren't able to come and Lyndsey and Brady were only able to stay for a couple hours before they had to head up to Island Park for anothe family reunion but I'm super glad they were able to come for a bit. Gave Lyndsey and I some time to chat. Since being married we've noticed just how much we have in common. Not just in the sense of what kind of people we are but especially in the sense of where we are in our lives. We're pretty darn close when it comes to that! So I'm glad I have someone I can talk to once in awhile about certain things and be talking to someone that completely understands. So thanks Lyndsey! You're awesome!
Right before it got too dark and a little too chilly to swim everyone got in one last game of water volleyball then we all had some more delicious food. After dinner everyone slowly started to pack up and leave but then with everyone that stayed longer, we all gathered around the camp fire and roasted some hot dogs and marshmallows and told funny stories. It was just really nice to have so much of the family around the campfire telling funny stories and really just being kind of silly. Good times, good times! Can't wait til next year!
