First I just have to say that the past two weeks leading up to Corey and Dane's wedding day was absolutely insane! And I'm just the sister-in-law! I don't think Corey and Dane really grasped exactly how much goes into planning a wedding. Even a temple wedding. And with that in mind I don't think anyone else knew exactly how much goes into planning one as well.
We had heard on Sunday that the weather for the wedding day may be slightly less than ideal. Even a possibility of showers! Showers don't mix very well with a wedding dress, a beautiful hair-do, or every guest dressed in their Sunday best. However, luckily, the weather was great. It was sunny without being so bright it washed everyone's faces out for pictures, not super hot, and NO rain! It was a bit on the breezy side (a slightly cold breeze too) which quickly became annoying for everyone's hair and Corey's veil but it was definitely better than rain.
The temple ceremony was at noon in the Rexburg, Idaho LDS Temple. Considering everyone was informed about the wedding date 2 weeks ago I think there was a very nice gathering in the temple for Dane and Corey as well as outside the temple. Dane looked at his future wife with such adoration it probably melted Corey's heart. Corey saw her future husband and displayed every ounce of excitement on her face. They have both been waiting for quite awhile for this moment. The moment where they could finally look into each other's eyes and see the companion they were going to spend eternity with. The ceremony was beautiful and of course there were a few tears of happiness shed. There were even some bets going as to who would cry first, Dane or Corey. I won't say who actually cried first though : )
As the couple walked out of the temple dressed so beautifully all their excitement and happiness just radiated from their entire bodies. I'm not sure if I'd ever seen Dane and Corey smile that big before. They truly did not care at all about anything except being married in the temple and their honeymoon. Now the honeymoon part was most definitely up to them but they were now Mr. and Mrs. Dane and Corey Knapp! (which will be tricky because we already have an uncle who's name is Corey Knapp).
