Happy Birthday Macie!

Yesterday Jordan and I went into Rexburg to celebrate Macie's 11th birthday. Well technically her birthday is today but we had a little get together yesterday. Anyways, we had all the immediate family there along with a family friend to celebrate, with of course lots of food, presents, and probably the most awesome birthday cake ever!

One of her birthday presents was re-doing her bedroom. The theme....peace signs! Since I met Macie when she was like 7-years-old she's always kind of reminded me of a hippie. She's got the long hair, loves to wear bold colored clothes, crazy shoes, and most of her attire is simply very loud, but in a good way. She's such a free spirit it often times amazes me. So, now her room matches her personality perfectly and Kendra and I decided to make her a birthday cake to match as well. Would you believe the colored "sprinkles" are really sugar that Kelly dyed with food coloring for us? Well you should! Kendra meticulously cut out the actual peace sign from the top layer and we all began placing the colors on top adding a border to the bottom. She loved the cake and Kelly said she didn't really want to cut into it because it was so beautiful.

Dustin got her two hats for her birthday and she decided to wear them both at the same time. I'd say Macie had a pretty good birthday! She even said she wishes all her birthday were on a Sunday because then everyone could be there to celebrate and spend time with her : )
