This is Kendra's senior year at Madison High School. Last fall Kendra had her senior pictures taken with Gugleman Photography because the school had a contract with them to take all the seniors pictures for the yearbook then if they wanted to, they could buy some of the pictures. Well, of course the pictures turned out absolutely amazing! I mean, it's Gugleman we're talking about here. But of course there's a catch. Lots and lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$!!! Yep, the package that they decided on was booku bucks and the lady that works for Gugleman that we met with practically hushed Kelly when she asked about the possibility of getting a copyright release for 1 picture to do graduation announcements with! They wouldn't even consider a single picture to use! So, after a week or so of trying another plan that failed miserably, I did a quick senior session with Kendra the morning of Mother's Day. We found a great spot just up the road from their house, and after working with the rain and chilly temperatures, we got some great photos! And now, I'm sorry to brag, but I really think the photos I took, for free, are just as good as Gugleman's. Actually I think they're better because they didn't cost an arm and a leg. Almost literally.
Then a few hours later, I whipped up 7 announcements for Kendra and Kelly to choose from. Here's our two favorite...

Wow. I think those look great! They really are refreshing to look at. It doesn't hurt to move forward with photography and see where it takes ya :) I think you definitely have an eye and a great talent for it!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the logo, Danyel. Keep shooting and if it's gonna happen, it will. Especially with your determination :)
