The last week or so has been a little bit of a blur. Friday came around and I didn't even know it. Sad I know. Last Tuesday I was oh so lucky enough to get super sick with who knows what. Here's a quick play by play of Tuesday afternoon/night. Seriously my night belongs in a movie it played out so funny. Tuesday afternoon at work I had a slight stomach ache. Nothing major. Just kind of felt more like a stomach ache I sometimes get when I drink pop so it didn't phase me much at all. Anyways, I get off work at 4:30 and head up to Rexburg. I was finally able to be in Rexburg on a night when Wendy's Beads was open so that's the first place I went when I got into town. First, I went to a friend's house outside of Rigby for a haircut and left with a little more of an intense stomach ache. Well, I pull into Wendy's driveway thinking I should maybe just head to Jordan's parent's house instead but I was stubborn and flat out determined to get beads for Kelly's birthday gift and another necklace so I pressed on. I walk into her shop and she says that her little girl has been sick today and then she went and picked up her son at school because he said he was feeling sick too. About ten minutes into my bead selecting I had to ask Wendy if I could use her bathroom (not to throw up...yet). I go use her bathroom, come back and continue bead shopping. She starts helping me find chain but I have to tell her I'd be right back so I can hurry on out the door before I lose it all over her shop (without drawing too much attention to myself). I barely make it around the corner before I can't handle it anymore. Then I go back inside, I think my face just said it all because Wendy gave me one of those, "Wow, are you okay?" looks. Another 5 minutes goes by and her daughter comes in to say her tummy hurts. She turns the corner around the cash register before she loses it all over and instantly I think, "Yep, that smell really isn't the best for me right now."
Basically I spent the next two and a half days either laying in bed, on the couch, or in the bathroom and only ate 1 can of soup, 4 saltine crackers, a ham and cheese quesadilla, a Propel, maybe 2 glasses of Sprite, and 2 glasses of water. I have no idea how I made it down the stairs because I was so weak it took me two good tries just to get my Propel open. Pathetic! I don't think I had the flu but either way most of last week was rather poopy. I layed in bed and slept so much my back started to hurt. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleep so that was not cool at all!
Macie has started a city basketball team and Saturday was her first game. She's on a team with 5th and 6th graders this year but so far is having a lot of fun and even won their first game. Of course Jordan and his dad are her coaches again. She wouldn't have it any other way really. In her, and Jordan's downtime Saturday this is what they did together.....
How precious is that? This is how I know Jordan will be an amazing father...someday. Just them arguing over which ones were gheldings and mares was priceless.
Oh, I'm sure most people are pinterest people these days but here's my rave on the topic. AMAZING! I love it and have decided there needs to be more hours in the day just so I can try everything I find on pinterest. Last night I made these...
Chicken Enchilada Puffs. They were so easy, and so quick it made it an even better dinner than the mere fact that they were super tasty! Jordan loved them and really the only Hispanic food he'll go near is a ham and cheese quesadilla we make at home : ) I even tweeked the recipe a little just because I didn't have exactly what she recommended. Instead of enchilada seasoning I used fajita seasoning. Instead of taco sauce I just used a can of tomato sauce. And I did use cresent rolls but for some reason I only got one tube so for most of them I used pie crusts which worked really well too I just had to cook them a few extra minutes. Oh and I cooked 3, slightly larger, chicken breasts mixed into the ingredients I ended up using plus the others she recommends and I think it made about 30 puffs. Not bad eh? I only wish I had some Taco Bell sauce : )
Macie goes to Sugar so Saturday night Jordan, Craig, Macie, and I all went to a girls basketball game. It was Sugar vs Shelley and I was pretty excited to see some Russet basketball. I was definitely sitting on the wrong side of the gym because I'm pretty sure I was the only one on that entire side the cheered when Shelley made any points. I got a few weird looks and told Jordan maybe I should go sit on the other side with my Shelley people for awhile : ) It was a good game. Definitely brought me back to my high school days and even made me miss it a little. And guess what? Shelley won! 55 to 53. Man am I proud to be a Russet!
Oh and back in July I wrote a post about me being a new assistant in the Mia Maids. Well our ward decided to re-do half of the callings so I was temporarily without a calling and am now an assistant in Beehives! So now instead of only having 4 girls, I have 8, soon to become 9 next month! Crazy huh? The girl that visit teaches me asked me to be her assistant and I jumped on the opportunity to say yes. She's such a great person and all the little Beehives are so awesome I'm really excited to get to know them all better and work with such great people out here! Yay for new adventures and changes in life!
