Last week Jordan's uncle turned the big 50 and to celebrate his oldest daughter, Shawnee, arranged this big surprise party for him the day before Thanksgiving. Now, first off, Jordan's dad and all his siblings all grew up in North Fremont. So, with that in mind we had our theme for the party. All the guests dressed up in North Fremont Husky gear. Football uniforms, cheerleading uniforms, letterman jackets, you name it people were wearing it. I don't think I'd ever seen so much purple and gold-ish/yellow in one household in all my life. Honestly, we were a good lookin' group! Kendra, Macie, Craig, and I all snatched up the jersey's not really leaving anything for Jordan but he was celebrating on the inside : )For part of the evening all the siblings then children of Corey went around and shared some of their favorite memories of Corey. Great idea in theory but Corey is the second oldest of 6 so it was a decent chunk of the night but man were there some funny stories!
I'm kind of kicking my butt now but I really wish I would have shared a memory of my own so I'm going to share it here now. Now, I haven't been apart of the family for very long yet but by far the best memory I have of Corey is when I graduated from BYU-Idaho last summer. My own extended and sadly a small part of my immediate family neglected to support me even enough to come to the graduation yet there was Corey sitting with Jordan, Craig, and Grandma and Grandpa Knapp just as proud as if he were my own father. Just for the reason of the absence on my family's part, Corey being there meant more to me than I fear I ever expressed to him. That day I was very very grateful to be apart of the Knapp family and felt like it was the best family to marry into than I could have ever asked for.
Thank you Corey!
