{ You Know You're a Mommy If...}

I've been thinking lately about all the things that have changed since Wyatt has come into our lives and thought about all those little list type things people have. Like, "You Know You're a Redneck If..." "You Know You Grew Up In Idaho If...," etc. and thought of ones about being mothers. I found a pretty funny list at Lisa Jo Baker's website here but I decided to take that and compile my own list that applies to me right now with my little almost 4 month old.
Here it goes...
 
You Know You're a Mom If...

 
  1. A trip to the grocery store is a spontaneous getaway.
  2. You can't remember what the words "personal space" mean.
  3. Lugging the baby carrier around is your idea of a workout.
  4. You can't remember the last time you ate a meal while it was still hot.
  5. You wish there was a drive-through everything.
  6. You consider using the restroom alone a luxury.
  7. You have an entire Pinterest board full of crafts you will never get around to actually doing.
  8. You tell yourself pizza has all the food groups.
  9. Your love is so great it sometimes scares you.
  10. There is often an extra tiny person sleeping in your bed.
  11. You will never ever be able to sort, process or print all the photos you take.
  12. You didn’t know you were capable of this kind of courage.
  13. Your kisses have magical, healing properties.
  14. You have sung the same song a trillion times.
  15. Your Instagram stream reads like a love letter to your children.
  16. Your Facebook profile reads like a love letter to your children.
  17. You couldn’t watch the Olympics without wondering if that might be your kids one day.
  18. Cereal is a breakfast, lunch, and dinner kind of food at your house.
  19. Cutting a tiny person’s finger nails terrifies you.
  20. By “purse” you actually mean “diaper bag.”
  21. Having kids has taught you how to love and be loved like nothing else on earth.
  22. You do more multitasking in an average day than any CEO.
  23. You pray. About everything. Because you’ve learned you can hardly control anything.
  24. Your job description could fill an entire book.
  25. You've ever crawled under a crib at 2 a.m. searching for a pacifier like your life depended on it.
  26. You know you're a mom if you don't even shut the door to go to the bathroom.
  27. You know your a mom if you have ever held out your hands to catch vomit.
  28. You get more excited about packages for your kids coming in the mail than packages for yourself.
  29. You find it crucial to have a burp cloth and pacifier in every room in the house.
  30. You get daily "showers" from your little one (i.e. spit up, vomit, urine).
  31. You know every creek your floor makes.
  32. Your child's wardrobe collection starts to rival your own.
  33. You can make an entire meal with one hand.
  34. It takes you more than 10 seconds to remember the last time you showered.
  35. Your scent of choice force is sour milk or some other unpleasant odor.
  36. The simplest things make your day.
  37. You've learned to use your feet to accomplish more tasks.
  38. You're constantly thanking Heavenly Father for what you're holding in your arms.
  39. Your phone takes longer than normal to load all your photos you've taken.
  40. The words, "I love you," don't begin to cover it.
